OVA1 is intended for use in women meeting the following criteria:

  • Are over 18 years of age
  • Have an ovarian adnexal mass
  • Have surgery planned
  • Have not yet been referred to a gynecologic oncologist
  • Have not had cancer in the past 5 years; and
  • Have a rheumatoid factor concentration < 250 IU/mL

As OVA1 is a new technology, health plans require time to make their coverage decisions. OVA1 is reimbursed by Medicare for Medicare beneficiaries, and may be covered by some private health plans.
